Deeya Sumra is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She works with both children and adults, offering a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel heard and understood.
Deeya practices from a client-centred and integrative framework, emphasizing emotional processing and individualized care. She integrates different therapeutic approaches such as ACT, DBT, and CBT to meet each client’s unique needs.
In addition to her psychotherapy work, Deeya has four years of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient addiction settings as an addiction counsellor. Her experience includes supporting individuals struggling with substance use, addiction, and co-occurring mental health disorders, through school-based outpatient counselling programs. She is passionate about helping clients navigate recovery, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies in a safe and collaborative environment.
Deeya supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and emotional regulation. Deeya provides psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families.
